SLSQ Training and Assessment (TAE) Courses

SLSQ Training and Assessment (TAE) Courses

Start your journey as a Trainer or Assessor with flexible training pathways designed to suit your career goals.

Whether you're looking to become a workplace trainer, assess the skills of others, or gain a full training and assessment qualification, Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) offers a range of nationally recognised training options to help you get started.

Our flexible pathways allow you to start with a shorter skill set and build towards a full qualification, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and gain recognised credentials along the way.

Choose the pathway that's right for you

1. Become a Trainer

Learn the skills to plan and deliver training in the workplace or volunteer environment.

2. Become an Assessor

Develop the skills to assess competency and provide feedback on learners' performance.

3. Complete your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Take the next step and work towards the full nationally recognised qualification.

Start small. Build your skills. Progress your career.

You don't have to complete the full Certificate IV straight away.  Our SLSQ pathways allow you to complete individual skill sets first, gain nationally recognised credentials and progressively work towards your full qualification.

Any units of competency successfully completed through these skill sets that form part of your Certificate IV will be credited, meaning you won't need to complete them again!

Our experienced trainers and support team will guide you through your training journey and help you identify the pathway that best suits your experience and career goals.
