The red and yellow flags are back, and our volunteer surf lifesavers are ready for another busy season on Queensland beaches. From September through to May, our dedicated Members will be on patrol to keep you and your family safe in and around the water.
This season brings some exciting updates across surf lifesaving:
A brand-new Junior Activities Centre on the SLSQ website — a one-stop shop for everything Nippers, with resources for parents, Age Managers, and Junior Activity Chairs.
New Peer Support training and resources, designed to strengthen wellbeing and support across our members.
A big focus on youth engagement with the launch of the Lifesaving Youth Collective, including podcasts, blogs, Mindlab and fresh social media content created by young lifesavers.
A refreshed Patrol Operations Manual and the rollout of Regional Capability Building Workshops to build skills and teamwork.
Updates to Marine Stinger drag suits, an expanded Marine Stinger Risk Assessment tool, and a wider rollout of E-bikes to give patrols greater flexibility on our coastline.
A new patrol rostering system to support clubs in planning patrols for the season ahead.
A refreshed Education Hub with a cleaner look and easier navigation.
A stronger focus on Lifesaving CPR, supported by FAQs and Q&A sessions run by SLSA available to all members.
The all-new Members Hub brings everything you need into one central place. Whether you're a patrolling member, Age Manager, official, or club administrator, you’ll now find key information and updates clearly organised and easily accessible.
