SURF RESCUE CERTIFICATE
What is it?
The Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) is a stepping stone towards gaining a Bronze Medallion and provides participants with basic skills and knowledge of first aid, rescues, and CPR, enabling them to patrol as part of a patrol team. This is the perfect pathway from Junior Activities to patrolling ranks or for parents/guardians who wish to assist with water safety during nipper programs, sports carnivals or training.

Whether you’re stepping up from Junior Activities or eager to support water safety at events, this course puts you on the front line, ready to make a difference and be part of something bigger than the beach.
RADIO OPERATIONS CERTIFICATE
What is it?
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to operate communications systems and equipment in surf lifesaving operations
Why do it?
The Radio Operators course gives you the skills to run the radios like a pro—stay dry, stay sharp, and be the one who keeps everything under control when things heat up.
OBSERVER COURSE
What is it?
The aim of the Observers course is to develop your knowledge of surf awareness and skills which will enable you to be able to read the surf, identify potential risks and hazards in the surf and identify persons in difficulty in the surf.
Why do it?
If you’re not quite ready to hit the surf yourself, the Observers course is the perfect way to get involved—gain vital knowledge in reading the ocean, spotting hazards, and identifying people in trouble, all without needing to get your feet wet.
