What You’ll Do: 

• Coordinate and deliver community awareness and public safety education programs across the Brisbane region.
• Develop strong relationships with schools, community organisations, volunteers, and key stakeholders.
• Lead and support Community Awareness Presenters to ensure high-quality program delivery.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on program outcomes, participation, and impact.
• Maintain accurate records, schedules, resources, and operational reporting.
• Ensure all activities comply with organisational policies, risk management requirements, and child safeguarding standards.
• Contribute to program improvements, strategic initiatives, and funding opportunities.
• Promote inclusive and respectful practices aligned with SLSQ’s values.

About You: 

•  Current Working with Children Blue Card or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience engaging with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Experience coordinating programs, projects, events, or community-based initiatives.
• Strong administration and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage, train, and motivate casual staff to deliver programs effectively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience within surf lifesaving, education, emergency services, community engagement, youth programs, or public safety initiatives.
• Knowledge of community education, water safety, or public awareness programs.
• Current Bronze Medallion and Surf Life Saving membership or the ability to obtain within an agreed timeframe (and maintain ongoing proficiency).
• Availability to be on call to deliver programs in summer peak times.
