Presented by:
Warren Tapp 

Warren is an experienced company director, having served on 28 Boards and has been Chair of 14 of them. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and lectured on their courses for 10 years. He has published 3 books on governance and the role of directors. 

His qualifications include an MBA, a Master of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. He is currently completing a PhD on the governance of licensed clubs. 

He has consulted to many club Boards and provided training and advice to dozens of club directors over the last 30 years and was pleased to contribute to the SLSQ videos to assist Boards and Committees at all levels in the organization. 

Geoff Wohlsen

Goeff is a specialist in the club and not-for-profit sector with over 30 years’ experience advising licensed, sporting and service clubs, and sector bodies including RSL Queensland, RSL Victoria, Bowls Queensland and SLSQ. 

After completing Law and Economics at the University of Queensland, Geoff worked with BP Oil in marketing and economics, then joined KPMG’s Strategic Planning and Economic Development group, focusing on clubs and not-for-profits. 

He went on to co-found DWS Hospitality Specialists and Club Training Australia, growing them to over 60 staff and 2,000 trainees a year, before establishing Wohlsen Consulting in 2018. 

Geoff’s expertise spans governance, strategic and master planning, operational improvement, management strategy, feasibility and finance, economics, culture, licensing, and industry analysis.
