CPR/First Aid for Lifeguards

This course will provide participants with the knowledge to administer First Aid care and treatment in the workplace or in personal situations. Provide First Aid covers adults‚ children and babies in a wide range of emergency situations.
Introduction:
Target Audience:
Participants must be 14 years or older and actively patrolling or enrolled in a course to patrol (Observers‚ SRC‚ Bronze)
Learning Outcomes:
- HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid

- Provide First Aid response
- Life support
- Management of casualty(s) and other First Aiders until the arrival of medics or other assistance
- Standard precautions
- Two (2) minutes of uninterrupted CPR on adult and baby
- Basic occupational health and safety requirements in the provision of First Aid
- How to use and manage a Defibrillator (AED)
