This Radio Operators Award gives participants the skills and knowledge to operate communications systems and equipment in surf lifesaving operations. Successful completion will allow the candidate to obtain a statement of attainment that includes the unit of competency "PUAOPE013 Operate communications systems and equipment".
A candidate must be at least 13 years of age on the date of the final assessment.
Introduction:
This Radio Operators Certificate course aims to help the participant develop skills and knowledge to effectively operate communications systems and equipment in their local lifesaving environment. The award is designed for members either working towards obtaining their Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) or members who wish to contribute to radio operations in their local surf lifesaving clubs without completing the whole qualification.

You will be awarded the SLSA Radio Operators Certificate upon completing this course
