Tweed Heads & Coolangatta SLSC
Established in 1911 makes TH&C Queensland’s oldest Surf club. It is also Queensland’s oldest Nipper Club. Nippers commenced in 1966 as part of Tweed Heads and Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club.
TH&C is known for its focus on families, the Club ensures all members are made welcome and feel safe.
Greenmount Beach Surf Club is the trading name of the Supporters’ Club. Greenmount Beach Surf Club is a family-friendly venue which offers an array of services to both members and guests alike. Enjoy delicious meals or relax with a few drinks. Join us on the deck overlooking Greenmount Beach with panoramic views of the Gold Coast skyline, hinterland and iconic surf breaks.
Their Nipper section has grown significantly over the past five years. Surf clubs Gold Coast, have a level of organisation and the effort the Club goes to for the development of our kids is substantial. Due to the quality and breadth of their Nipper Program, families come from as far away as Toowoomba to Byron Bay, as well as locally to be part of their Club.
Greenmount Beach
The Tweed Heads and Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club is on Greenmount Beach nestled into the corner behind Greenmount Headland.
The heritage-listed Surf Club is renowned for its fabulous sunsets over the water and the Gold Coast hinterland. One of the most beautiful surf clubs on the Gold Coast, Greenmount Beach is a unique north-facing beach which offers shelter from strong winds, good swimming zones and an excellent point break surf.
Greenmount Beach is patrolled by Tweed Heads and Coolangatta (TH&C) Surf Club volunteer Surf Life Savers each weekend and public holidays from mid-September to mid-May. Paid Council Lifeguards patrol the beach at other times. There has never been a loss of life on Greenmount Beach while TH&C Surf Life Savers have been on patrol. This is a proud record and a testament to the Club’s diligence and service to the public and local community.
