We’re powered by people who are passionate about our service and our role within the local community.
From training your Nipper to making your event extra special, the Ellis Beach Surf Life Saving Club is the club for you. We offer a wide range of memberships to suit your needs from a simple social membership to a full competition and patrolling membership.
Ellis Beach is located on the northern side of a rocky outcrop that separates it from the bustling Palm Cove. The beach has all the beauty and charm that Palm Cove offers, but is much quieter.
Ellis Beach stretches for just over 1 kilometre, with very little surf due to the rocky outcrop at the southern end of the beach and the protection of Double Island.
Ellis Beach features pumice stones along its beautiful shores. From November to May, a stinger net patrolled by the club helps protect swimmers from marine stingers (jellyfish) which inhabit the waters during those months.
The Surf Life Saving members maintain a voluntary patrol on the weekends from April to November.
