Manuel has been an active member of Mooloolaba SLSC since 2006 and has held various positions, including patrol captain and IRB trainer, as well as Sunshine Coast branch operation support roles in that time. He has also competed for Mooloolaba at multiple State and Australian titles in the Ocean Roar IRB racing series, and was a previous recipient of the Life Saver of the Year award at Mooloolaba.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Manuel has a strong understanding of finance, risk management and regulatory matters from his financial services experience in Australia and Europe. In his current role within a Big 4 professional service firm, he provides services to ASX listed, Global Fortune 500, and investment management entities.

In addition to his appointment to the SLSQ Board, he is a member of the SLSQ Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, and also has previous not-for-profit board experience.
