SLSA Ranked Second Most Trusted Charity in Australia

Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) has once again proven its unwavering commitment to the Australian community, earning the title of the second most trusted charity in the nation. This recognition comes from the annual national Charity and Not-for-Profit Reputation Report, conducted by RepTrak, formerly known as the Reputation Institute.

With a remarkable reputation score of 94.2, SLSA has achieved its highest rating since the tracking began in 2011. This year’s result not only marks an improvement of three places over the past 12 months but also positions SLSA statistically on par with the top-ranked Royal Flying Doctors Service. The survey measures key areas such as respect, trust, admiration, and purpose, highlighting the significant impact SLSA has within Australian communities.

SLSA President John Baker AM ESM expressed pride and gratitude toward the volunteer Members who have made this achievement possible. “Reputation and brand health are essential indicators of a vibrant and sustainable movement, and we are both proud and humbled by this result,” said Mr. Baker. “This report isn’t just about a number or a ranking. It’s about the selfless volunteers who give up their time to patrol, train, and teach, prioritizing the safety of strangers over their own.
