Women make up nearly 50% of membership within SLSQ but are underrepresented in leadership, governance and operational roles.
Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is committed to accelerating activity towards Gender Equity and providing opportunities for more women to take on leadership roles in life saving and to encourage male allies to advocate and support women in our organisation.
HOW WILL WE DO THIS?
SLSQ Gender Equity Plan
Our upcoming SLSQ Gender Equity Plan takes into considerations existing challenges for women and girls in life saving and further introduces an action plan to address barriers in participation, leadership, safety, and overall inequities at all levels of the organisation.
