Due to dangerous conditions, the 2026 Senior State Championships are moving to Mooloolaba.
Due to predicted poor conditions and forecast swell and wind, the 2026 Queensland Senior Surf Life Saving Championships (and Masters) will now be held at Mooloolaba Beach, rather than Maroochydore Beach. The safety of competitors, officials and volunteers remains the top priority of SLSQ.
All water and beach events will be conducted at Mooloolaba Beach towards the river mouth end of the beach.
Competition commences on Friday 27 February.
Event timetable remains unchanged and will be published later today.
Please continue to check www.lifesaving.com.au and official SLSQ channels and the event Team App for updates.
After the 2025 Championships were cancelled, we can’t wait to come together again for what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest and most exciting Championships yet.
From iconic surf and beach races to team events and relays, it’s the ultimate celebration of surf sport and lifesaving skill on one of Queensland’s most beautiful beaches.
