Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Keep Aircraft Soaring—Your Expertise Makes It Happen!

Are you passionate about aviation and skilled in keeping aircraft performing at their best? As a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet. You’ll be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, and installing aircraft systems, subassemblies, and components.

In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out mechanical servicing, maintenance, repairs, and modifications—all in strict accordance with technical instructions, aviation regulations, and company procedures. What You’ll Do:

  • Performing duties within the scope of your CASA engineering license.
  • Reporting aircraft maintenance needs, tooling and equipment issues, and hangar safety concerns to the Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer, or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.
  • Actively participating in ongoing training and identifying your own professional development needs.
  • Carrying out additional tasks as directed by your manager.
  • Protecting confidential information, proprietary technology, and sensitive maintenance practices.
  • Following all operational policies, procedures, and technical instructions set by SLSQ Aviation.

About You:

  • Completion (or progress toward completion) of an aircraft and/or engine trade certificate, CASA exams, or equivalent Defence Force airframe and engine training aligned with National Aerospace Competency Standards.
  • A strong focus on aircraft maintenance, airworthiness, and safety protocols.
  • Solid communication and problem-solving skills to support effective troubleshooting and team coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset—essential for working in a close-knit team.
  • A willingness to continue CASA licensing exams, with the goal of becoming licensed on SLSQ Aviation’s aircraft types.
  • A proven ability to apply and uphold workplace health and safety policies and practices.
  • Flexible to provide after hours engineering response if needed.
