Join SLSQ as a Community Awareness Presenter – Make Waves in Safety!

Are you passionate about keeping our communities safe? We’re searching for energetic, outgoing people in the Bundaberg region to inspire and educate. Help us spread awareness and save lives, one conversation at a time through beach and water safety! This position will be based in the Hervey Bay area with a minimum of 15 hours per week during school hours.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver powerful presentations at beaches, schools, and community events, teaching essential water safety and CPR skills.
  • Maintain high quality standards of all community awareness program content being delivered.
  • Adapt on the go—tailor your sessions to varied audiences and environments.
  • Work independently and collaboratively—you’ll run standalone education sessions and contribute as part of our dynamic team.

About You:

  • Confident public speaker with charisma and ease engaging crowds of all ages.
  • Outgoing and sociable—you thrive on connecting with people from all walks of life.
  • Able to work autonomously yet seamlessly collaborate with teammates.
  • Resourceful and quick-thinking—able to adapt your delivery mid-session when needed.
  • Working With Children Blue Card.
  • A current Surf Life Saving member, holding a Bronze Medallion, with strong knowledge of first aid and CPR (desirable).
  • Familiar with public safety and Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) programs and passionate about positive community impact (desirable).
