Team Manager

Take the reins and manage a team of nippers or senior athletes as they go for gold in competition.

A Team Manager is responsible for the team from the time they depart for a competition until they return back home. It is essential that you have great time management and organisational skills and are able to effectively oversee the safety and well-being of all team members. You are also responsible for attending official meetings to ensure that all athletes and coaches are kept up-to-date with scheduling, requirements and competition changes at carnivals.

In the role of a Team Manager you will also look after aspects of the budget, sponsorship, fundraising, team uniform, equipment, transport, and team catering


Requirements

All team managers must be

  • :a minimum of 18 years old;
  • a current surf lifesaving member; and
  • hold a valid Blue Card.

It is also recommended that you have a detailed knowledge of the current Surf Sports Manual and Surf Life Saving policies. Outside of this, the only requirement is a passion and willingness to give back and help others reach their best in the sport
