Hervey Bay SLSC

Hervey Bay Surf Life Saving Club was first formed in 1955 and later disbanded in 1966, re-formed again in 1969 and disbanded again in 1970.

In October 1986 it was re-formed and has been operating continuously since that time. The Club has a proud history of family orientated community involvement. Situated on Torquay Beach, our waters are protected by the picturesque Fraser Island, ensuring our beach is one of the safest in Queensland.

HBSLSC offers various options for the whole family, including:

  • Nippers – (5-13 years) Sunday morning activities include surf sports, surf safety, fitness, first-aid and of course, FUN!!
  • Cadets – (13-15 years) competitions, community involvement, personal development and socialisation, leadership
  • Patrols – surf and beach patrolling services, community engagement
  • Competitions – opportunities for all ages and skill levels
  • Social – licensed bar, with a large deck overlooking the pristine waters of Hervey Bay
