Are you passionate about surf lifesaving and community engagement? We’re looking for a motivated individual to help strengthen the capabilities of SLSQ clubs on the Gold Coast, from Rainbow Bay to Point Lookout.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of SLSQ’s State Membership Development Programs to help clubs thrive.
  • Support branch and regional development programs aligned with local goals.
  • Track and provide support for quarterly membership statistics reporting for each club.
  • Help clubs implement effective recruitment, retention, and recognition strategies.
  • Attend club, branch, regional, and state meetings to stay connected and informed.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in clubs and branches.
  • Ensure clubs maintain Safeguarding Children & Young People compliance in line with Membership Protection Policies.
  • Share important updates and news with members through emails and other communications.
  • Coordinate and deliver additional SLSQ programs in the region as needed.
  • Support clubs in member welfare and protection to ensure awareness, implementation, and compliance.
  • Conduct annual junior activities health checks for clubs and provide actionable feedback.

About You:

  • Working with Children Blue Card.
  • In depth knowledge of Surf Lifesaving & Membership programs.
  • Flexibility to attend camps, programs, and meetings that may occur outside of regular business hours.
  • Experience in project or event management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in particular, experience writing evaluation reports.
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • High level computer skills including Microsoft Office.
