SLSQ is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our State Operations Communications Centre!
About the Role:
The role of the Communications Coordinator in the State Operations and Communications Centre (SOCC) is an operational role within SLSQ that works collaboratively with the Operations Centre team, the broader SLSQ organisation, and emergency service providers. The purpose of this role is to receive incident information, enter details into the incident management system, and alert the most appropriate resources to respond to the incident. This may include the dissemination of information to members of the public and emergency services agencies. Additionally, the Communications Coordinator supervises and supports the operational dispatch team. This is based in Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast. This role is on a rotating roster system, including weekend work.
