The best surf sport athletes in North Queensland will battle it out over three big days of competition at the North Australian Championships! This event is open to clubs from Hervey Bay to Port Douglas, but in recent years we have opened up nominations to all of Australia for any interested participants.

Athletes will compete in the full suite of surf sport events including beach flags and sprints, belt rescue, ski, Surf Ironman and Ironwoman events. The competition also features a surf boat competition and pool rescue competition.

This year’s event will be held as follows
Friday 27th October 2023 – Mackay Aquatics and Recreation Complex, 193 Boundary Road Ooralea
Saturday 28th October – Sunday 29th October 2023 – Mackay Harbour Beach
