Lifesaving Development Program - North Queensland

Other

The Lifesaving Development Program will see the participants representing clubs from across North Queensland come together with a training, leadership and management team of more than 20 people from Surf Life Saving across Australia.

The program provides our young members with a higher level of award training, and exposure to exciting, fast-paced simulated lifesaving scenarios.

Program attendees will use the standard patrolling equipment to manage ‘No Notice’ scenarios that become more complex as their skills develop. This style of delivery uses expert feedback to cement skills and knowledge in a relevant and practical medium.

WHEN: Sunday 23rd June –  Sunday 30th June 2024
WHERE: TBC
WHAT TO EXPECT:
-Program participants will gain a number of awards including First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation Techniques and IRB Crewperson OR Silver Medallion IRB driver
-Participants will be exposed to additional skills and development opportunities including pathways, teamwork, leadership and lifesaving operations
