About the role

SLSQ has an exciting opportunity for a Fulltime Lifesaving Coordinator to work at our South Brisbane office.

This position is responsible for supporting the ongoing and continual improvement of SLSQ’s Life Saving services.  The successful candidate will be responsible with assistance with contracts, maintenance and the development of policies and procedures through research and development of existing and future lifesaving equipment and practices. The candidate will also assist in the running of Brisbane Lifesaving Service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating SLSQ policies, procedures, guidelines and manuals relating to Lifesaving Services.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Updating various contracts.
  • Assisting in annual reviews crucial to SLSQ Lifesaving Services.
  • Continuously seeking new lifesaving practices, equipment or technology in the marketplace and conducting due diligence.
  • Updating and maintaining appropriate databases.
  • Routine audits – reporting, ensuring database/information is correct.
  • Actively promoting volunteering to the greater Brisbane region to compliment and support existing Lifesaving Services and put more beaches under guard.
  • Coordinating Training and Brisbane Lifesaving programs with contacts internally.
  • Maintain budgets for programs within approved limits.
  • Creating and maintaining patrol rosters for Brisbane Lifesaving and other programs.
  • Ad hoc administration and procurement duties.
  • Continuous communication and updates to key stakeholders in regards to important SLSQ events and programs.
  • Implement and develop required programs required for the business.
  • Assisting in secretarial duties for Lifesaving Support Officer state IRB panels.
  • Maintaining registers of all equipment purchased in support of lifesaving program based on deadlines.
  • Providing accurate reports for SLSQ and on behalf of SLSQ are required.
  • Assist in maintaining SLSQ beach signage equipment and catalogue.
  • Assist in documentation for important SLSQ annual events as required and circulate to appropriate stakeholders.
