Education and Membership Development Officer - Remote
We are seeking a passionate individual to provide frontline support services to build the capabilities and capacity of SLSQ’s Members with training and education of nationally accredited awards and surf awards.
About the role
We are seeking a passionate individual to provide frontline support services to build the capabilities and capacity of SLSQ’s Members with training and education of nationally accredited awards and surf awards. Additionally, this role handles the delivery of programs in Education, Membership Development, Community Awareness and other SLSQ projects.
- In conjunction with the SLSQ Education team and the Branch Education Officers assist with the delivery of Member Education in the region including training calendars and course bookings.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of Trainer, Assess, Facilitator days and annual skills maintenance.
- Provide administration support associated with courses as require by supporting the Regional Administration Officers
- Assist with the delivery of lifesaving services in the branch including 24-hour emergency call out phone on rostered basis
- Attend Regional Meetings as required.
- In conjunction with the SLSQ Membership Services team and the Branch Officers assist with the delivery of Member Development in the region leadership development programs
- Assist with recruitment, retention and recognition initiatives in the region
- Assist with the coordination of community awareness programs in the region as required
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of sport development programs in the region as required
Please note this job is located in Bundaberg, however we will consider applicants to work from home and remotely.
You will possess the following skills and knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in particular, experience writing evaluation reports.
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Desired experience in project or event management.
- High level computer skills.
Qualifications and experience
- SLSA Bronze Medallion/ Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) (Essential)
- Provide and maintain Working with Children blue card (Essential)
- In depth knowledge of Surf Lifesaving Education programs (Essential)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience writing evaluation reports (Essential)
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills (Essential)
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines (Essential)
- High level computer skills (Essential)
- Certificate IV TAE 40110 or TAE40116 or Higher (hold / ability to work towards) (Desirable)
- SLSA Silver Medallion IRB Driver and IRB Crew certificates (Desirable)
- SLSA Silver Medallion Beach Management Certificate (Desirable)
