Technical Official


Technical Officials choose to fulfil specific officiating role/s and work with participants who are actively competing in club, branch and state surf sport competitions. The accreditation covers officiating at Junior, Youth & Senior Carnivals, Pool, Surf Boats, IRB & Lifesaving events and includes the roles of marshal, judge, starter and recorder. The Technical official is an entry point into the national officiating pathway.

The course aim is to provide an intermediate training program for experienced surf life saving officials and enable them to further their career path in senior surf sports officiating positions


Members must be a current Level 1 Official for a minimum of 12 months and be nominated by their branch to be eligible for this award
