Surf Girl

SURF GIRL IS FIRST AND FOREMOST A MEMBER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM WHICH SEEKS TO ENGAGE MEMBERS WITHIN SURF LIFE SAVING AND TO DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE FOR THEIR FUTURE CAREERS WITHIN AND OUTSIDE THE MOVEMENT.

Surf Girl (formerly known as Summer Surf Girl/Program) has injected close to $17 million into surf life saving clubs throughout Queensland since its inception in 1964.

All funds raised are distributed back into participating clubs to be used in a variety of ways, such as the maintenance and purchase of new rescue equipment, surf safety education, member development, increasing volunteer memberships and expanding training programs.

To qualify and enter Surf Girl, ambassadors MUST be:

  • A female member of a Queensland Surf Life Saving Club 18 years of age by May, 2020,
  • Must obtain and/or hold a proficient Bronze Medallion by 1st January 2020,
  • Raise and bank a minimum of $4,000 by no later than two (2) weeks prior to 2020 Awards dinner (date TBC);
  • and, accept the terms & conditions upon receipt of your registration forms.
